Mary was brought into this world pure, holy and glorious, adorned with all the graces befitting one who was predestined to be the mother of the saviour. People and nations celebrate the birthdays of earthly beings with great enthusiasm and expectations. How then should we, Christians, rejoice and commemorate the birth of the mother of our salvation?

The walls of Sangeet Banquet Hall, Etobicoke reverberated with toe tapping and hip swinging music and the cheers of over 500 guests as MAC concluded another successful social event. The second Family Social organized by the Mangalorean Association of Canada was held on May 1, 2004.

Events : Traditional 'Monthi Fest' celebrated in Canada

It was a Sunday with a difference. For many, it was a trip down memory lane, for the younger ones, a unique and exciting experience. The Mangalorean Association of Canada (MAC) celebrated 'Monti Fest' on September 07, 2003 in Mississauga in a historical and time-honored manner. The festivities brought back wistful and nostalgic memories of similar celebrations back home in India on the feast of the Nativity of our Lady.
