A condolence meet followed by special Requiem Mass to pay tributes to the victims of the plane crash in Mangalore Bajpe Airport was held on June 05, 2010 at Sts. Martha & Mary Church, Mississauga, organized by the Mangalorean Association of Canada (MAC). A large crowd gathered to pay homage to the fellow brethren who suffered a tremendous tragedy to express their anguish and sympathize with their families left behind.

The condolence meeting began with a brief but heart-rendering narration of the incident by Leo Rego. Fr. Edwin D'Souza, the Parish Priest and Spiritual Director, offered a special prayer for the repose of the departed souls in the tragedy. A prayer was also offered for the members of the families left behind for strength and comfort. A placard printed with the names of all the victims was placed on the alter decorated with flowers and lit-up candles. The choir was led by Merlyn Rodrigues.

After the special memorial service, Requiem Mass in Konkani was offered for the departed souls by Fr. Edwin D'Souza.
